Term 3 Week 2
Wow! Talk about starting Term 3 with a bang! We had THE BEST time on camp! The children displayed a high level of respect for themselves, each other, the instructors, O.L.C. teachers and the beautiful environment we were in! I am sure you were left with an exhausted but happy camper on Wednesday afternoon! The main instructor, Brooke, challenged us to think outside our normal “paradigm.” The children overcame their negative thoughts and difficult emotions to succeed in every aspect of the camp. For some children, the first challenge was to wave you off on Monday morning! For others it may have been eating new food or sleeping out of their normal comfy bed! There were obvious challenges like the “Big Fox” and “Abseiling Nursery” experiences, where some children had to move through their difficult thoughts and emotions to have a go.
