local book stores.

Mission Markets
On the last day of school for Term 3 (Thursday the 24th of September)
the children will be participating in our annual feast day - The Assumption of
Mary.
The Year 2 children are running
a pre-loved toy and game store and would love any donations such as:
· Books
· Soft & hard toys (clean)
· Board games & puzzles, with all pieces
There will be boxes outside the 2M classroom for you to place any items in. We thank you in advance for your donations 😊
Pupil Free Day
Friday the 25th of September
Plastic Free for the Sea
Pecky the Pelican will be on display outside the
admin office until the end of this term. Claire Jeffrey (mother of Max in 3Mc and Angus in PPL) was
largely responsible for it’s creation! He is at OLC to spark loads of valuable
discussion, awareness, investigation & understanding about PLASTIC
POLLUTION and the devastating outcomes it has on our sea birds & marine
life environment.
After huge storms earlier this year, a beach
clean-up at Meelup was organised by the amazing ‘Cochella’ team. It was
attended by 30+ volunteers and sadly (in only 1 hour), a massive amount of
rubbish and plastic was collected (the marine debris found was used to create
Pecky). Could you remind your child that it is ‘ok to look’, but please … DO
NOT TOUCH! Over the next few months, Pecky the Pelican will be visiting many
more schools & businesses throughout the South West & we would love for
him to stay in his original condition & be in tip top shape for his entire
journey.
We highly recommend you viewing him with your
child to open up discussion surrounding this important topic.
Congratulations to Lara for being our 5H super
star last week!
Wishing Pearl a very Happy Birthday for this
Thursday!
We are looking forward to some very stylish designs.
