Term 3 Week 3
CULTURE, NATURE AND CHALLENGE DAYS
You have previously been emailed with information about our exciting Culture, Nature and Challenge Days. We are super excited for the children to take part in the activities.
REMINDERS
The two days are fully catered!
Year 5 students need to be at school by 8:15am (at the latest) on both days.
The day that your child is on the Prevelly Challenge Loop and Margaret River Independent school guided walk, the group will be returning to school at approximately 3:30pm.
The day that your child is on the Calgardup Cave Adventure and the Contos to Redgate Walk, they will return to school at approximately 4:30p.m.
SEE SAW
OLC Admin sent out an email last week
sharing important information about an addition to our reporting system for
this semester, See Saw. Seesaw is a platform that allows you to see some of the
great work that your child is doing in the classroom.

PENPALS
In the last week of Term 2, we
wrote a class letter to our new elderly pen pals from a local retirement
village in Dunsborough. Each class at OLC has been assigned 4 beautiful ladies to
start corresponding with. 5H will be writing to, Grace, Shirley, Maureen and
Lillian. Over the next couple of weeks, we will be making some God’s eyes (our
weaving project from last term) to send them.
Currently at OLC we are focusing on
modelling and observing different character strengths. This
week we are looking for people who show HONESTY. Can you encourage your child
to demonstrate this trait?
On Friday, we will be walking to Our Lady of the
Southern Cross Church to attend the Adoration that Fr Francis organises for the
parish each month. This will be a beautiful opportunity for the 5H students to
take some time out of their week to express their gratitude and respect for the
blessings in their lives.
